Overallocation combined with drought in south eastern Australia has had a devastating impact on the health of the River Murray, which in recent years has experienced record low inflows. Governments have implemented programs to try and save valuable icon sites along the river, however, there remains the need for additional support to protect our natural heritage.

Healthy Rivers Australia supports a range of projects that focus on the restoration of river and wetland habitats through the delivery of environmental water and helping at-risk native fish, birds, frogs and vegetation.

Project partners include community groups, schools, companies and volunteers, working together to effectively deliver positive environmental results. The projects we support are approved by relevant government authorities.

We are always looking for new and exciting project opportunities. If you have a project that you think we can help with please contact us or submit a Project Application Form.
