The Mission of Healthy Rivers Australia is to improve the health of Australia’s rivers. 

Our goals are to: 

1. Be a thought leader in promoting efficient environmental water management by attracting and directing best national and international management options, innovations and resources for local and regional environmental water delivery, monitoring and evaluation practices 

2. Building synergy among stakeholders of environmental water assets, facilitating enabling policies and help diversify the range of governance options available for delivery of environmental water at a local scale

3. Closely and jointly work with Water Trust Alliance members and local communities in developing regional support and mechanism for efficient water delivery and management of river ecosystems and ecosystem functions

4. Raise community awareness of the need to conitinue to manage and pay attention to our rivers AT ALL TIMES, leading to outcomes that further mature the bond between healthy rivers and healthy communities
